Mr Cotroneo will be responsible for driving the next phase of development in HSBC’s Securities Services business in both countries.

HSBC Australia has announced the appointment of Enzo Cotroneo as Head of Securities Services Australia and New Zealand, effective May 2019.

Enzo will be responsible for driving the next phase of development in HSBC’s Securities Services business in both countries, leveraging its significant share of the local custody market as a platform for further growth.

Enzo joins HSBC from Citigroup Australia, where he headed the Custody and Fund Services business for a number of years. He previously held senior positions at JP Morgan for 14 years.

Commenting on the new appointment, Guy Dickinson, Head of Global Markets HSBC Australia, said, “Enzo’s deep industry knowledge will help underpin HSBC’s plans to extend the depth and reach of our offering, including to the increasing number of clients who conduct business offshore.”

“Our ambition is to assist more domestic and international customers by continuing to expand our product suite locally, while also drawing on the strengths of HSBC’s global network.”

Enzo will report locally to Guy Dickinson and regionally to Brian Godins, Head of HSBC Securities Services Asia.
